Introduction
Our Districts LD programs are organise around servicing the needs of the learning disabled students who ingest additional support in a smaller assort setting, in the general fosterage classroom, or on a consultative basis. Our checks EC program has undergone nigh structural changes. Some of those changes have improved the efficiency and complex body part of the program, and separates have not been successful. I interviewed parents, parents, general and special education teachers and asked them to comment on the programs overall effectiveness. My questions intercommunicate issues concerning parental, student, and teacher satisfaction, the IEP process, accountability, and issues concerning the LD program itself. I will be examining other factors in breaking our Learning disabled program structure, its components, and dimensions so that we can determine the effectiveness of current practices.

Our Learning Disabled Program

In order for a program to run efficiently there has to be a strong and supportive leader as well as dedicated team players. The head teacher is typically the leader who oversees the EC Program.



However in our school, the EC Coordinator makes sure that we are in compliance. The coordinator then delegates authority to the school based coordinator who provides direct counselling to resource and mainstreamed students and IEP planning. The eluding manager/special educator actually delivers direct instruction and coordinates support services to the students with support staff. She is responsible for running the twenty-four hour period to day functions of the classroom and simultaneously and makes sure that all of the requisite paperwork is completed as required. When I interviewed these teachers, many expressed dissatisfaction at this aspect. As a matter of fact, our school based coordinator retire from the job and her last day was last Wednesday.
