How to Tell a True warfare Story
The essence of a true war story evict strike beautiful and dark feelings of despair and triumph in the pit of ones soul. The beauty comes from the detail and the existence of the images smash your mind like a bullet hitting another bullet in mid flight. Tim OBrien writes his in short story How to Tell a struggle Story in 1990, giving him plenty of time to mull over on his past experiences in Vietnam fighting alongside his buddies. The antecedent has compiles some of own personal stories of the field, telling them in origin person. He uses other soul dredging stories from his shoplifters creating a deep smell of despair. The author neer strays from the purpose of his story. He uses the stories in his short story as an exampleâ€"almost like a template to show his point of the importance of telling a true war storyâ€"to show the true profoundness of the event. He uses his friends stories in the field, telling them in 3rd person as if he were right neighboring to the reader listening to them for the very first time. This creates many briny characters that each have individual traits that come out in their stories.



The one most sympathized with is a character named Bob Kiley, unless everyone called him patronize. In his story, he loses his best friend to a locoweed trap in the mountains of Vietnam. He writes a letter to deceives girlfriend telling her all the great things about Curt Lemon (Rats best friend that died). He spills his heart out writing this letter, coming close to tears. He loved Curt like a brother. The girlfriend never writes him back. The main plot line of the story follows this mans experience in the field as he watched his friend die right in front of his eyes.
