Lack of respect for other drivers contributes to many unsafe behaviors. These unsafe actions can also lead to aggressive or angry behavior commonly called road rage. One drivers inattentiveness could lead to tragedy.
Pedestrians are also at risk while on the roadways. Drivers who fail to stop at stop signs or crosswalks can ultimately put lives in danger. Tragically, children have been killed because some drivers fail to stop at give instruction bus crossings. Although school buses clearly extend the stop sign, rude drivers go around the bus in an effort to however time.
Finally, the lack of respect for the law, police, and emergency vehicle contributes to dangerous situations on the roadways. For instance, drivers who fail to pull over when emergency vehicles are way out can cause a delay for a persons treatment or worse, an accident. Even with the recent forbidding of cell phone use while driving, people bide their bad and illegal habits. They talk, text, use face book, and even skype without regards to others.
Clearly, a lack of respect for other drivers, pedestrians, and the law is a major problem in our society. Many accidents occurs every year as a result of these rude, careless behaviors.
